Board of Assessors Meeting Minutes
June 28, 2005

Business:
Read and approved the minutes from May meetings.
Granted and signed one Motor Vehicle abatement and Treasurer form.
Signed four Real Estate refusal forms: three denials and one disallowed
Discussed Computer Use policy. Jess will develop a draft policy for July meeting.
Discussed a Trespassing Policy. Jess and Sue M. will pursue.
Jess will follow up on setting up PC Anywhere to work from home.
Agreed to pay HHCAA dues of $30. Jess will submit to the Treasurer.
Jess will create a form to indicate to Health Department and Building Inspector when we see a home has too many bedrooms. Also need to inform Health Department if unclaimed living quarters are found.
Research needed on ownership of private roads within WPOA, North Tolland and Tunxis.
Research needed in how lots are taxed, billed and deeded. For example if on owner owns two lots across the street can they be billed as one. If two parcels are on one deed, do they become combined. Etc.
Jessica will call Financial Pacific on a letter received. They are requested a change of address. No one knows who they are.
It is agreed the old PP information lies with in paper commitments which must be retained. There is no need for further backup.
We need to find out where we get new codes and depreciation schedules to go with codes. For example, Quonset huts, bunkhouses, guest house with plumbing, guest house without plumbing.
